THE AWARDSAwards are offered to recognize and reward students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance as well as provide meaningful support to those with the greatest financial need. By recognizing the achievements of highly performing students, the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation encourages those with potential to continue their pursuit of significant accomplishments over the course of their lives. The Awards of $250,000 are offered at two levels: - Twenty (20) Awards of $10,000 based on academic achievement and financial need - Twenty (20) Awards of $2,500 based solely on academic achievement Selection of Award Recipients is made by an Academic Committee appointed by the Foundations Board of Directors. This Committee works independently and makes its decisions based on established criteria set forth in the scholarship application. Undergraduate students of Hellenic descent enrolled in an accredited university in any of the 50 United States are eligible to apply. The application can be downloaded directly from our website. ANNUAL GALAAn equally important source of support is the Foundations Annual Gala in Chicago, one of the premier social events of the Greek American community. It includes the awards ceremony in which we celebrate the academic brilliance of our students. It also includes the presentation of the Paradigm Award to a distinguished Greek American whose career and accomplishments are a testimony to the Foundations mission and who serves as an example for our students to follow. Support from the Annual Gala raises funds for the Foundations scholarship programs and general operating expenses.
