I am deeply honored and grateful to be a recipient of the 2007 PanHellenic Scholarship Award. This extremely generous gift will help me further my education at the University of Chicago where I intend on concentrating in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, entering medical school, and conducting research, exploring the uncharted realms of science.

I commend you for your noble cause in preserving the Hellenic heritage and values and, above all, in stressing the importance of "paideia." I am proud of my Greek descent, and with the successes and contributions of my forefathers in mind, I will continue to cultivate my knowledge and maintain my heritage in all of my endeavors, not only as a way to realize success, but also as a way for contributing to the community and sustaining the legacy of the Greeks.
