LETTERS FROM OUR AWARD WINNERSStratos Skarpathiotis (2007), University of Chicago I'm writing you a long overdue letter to express my gratitude once again for the scholarship that you have given me. I know that I already thanked you on behalf of myself and all the other recipients when I received my award, but those few words were not enough to do justice to the pride and appreciation I have for the great honor you have bestowed upon me. The PanHellenic Scholarship will always have a special place in my heart for the monetary aid the scholarship has provided for me, but even more so for the emotional support that it provides me and will continue to provide me for the rest of my life. Having finished the most grueling quarter of my university experience, I feel that I am more than ever prepared for the obstacles that I face ahead of me. Much of this vigor, I owe to the PanHellenic Scholarship. It truly is a constant reminder of my obligation to my family, my church, my friends, and even to you to succeed in every manner of my academic career, since it is a symbol of the tremendous efforts of all of these people to provide me with both the opportunity to go to college and the encouragement to achieve great things. More importantly, the scholarship is a constant reminder of the obligation I have to myself to perform to the utmost of my abilities. It is a symbol of my current achievement, and as such, constantly puts pressure on me to live up to and even exceed the level of achievement that I have laid forth thus far in my life. For all these things, I am eternally grateful. And so, I would like to thank you, one more time, beyond words, for this magnificent award, as it has and will continue to give me the strength and desire to surpass the goals and expectations that I have for my future.
