LETTERS FROM OUR AWARD WINNERSStacy Economopoulos (2007), Illinois Institute of Technology I would like to thank you for the PanHellenic Scholarship. I am deeply grateful to have been one of the lucky few to receive this generous and meaningful award. It was truly an amazing experience. I am so glad to have met so many successful Greek men and women. I am impressed by their success and their morals and high standards that they each uphold. Even though I was in a room full of strangers that night, I felt as if we were family, all sharing the same Hellenic heritage and pride. I know that I would not be the person I am today without the support of my Greek community. Through my family, church, Greek school, and Sunday school, I have learned so much. This past summer I was blessed with my first trip to Greece with my family. Now everything makes sense to me. All of the stories I have learned finally connected. I was not a stranger; I was home. As a Greek American, I can contribute to America by embracing my heritage and sharing my culture with others. I truly appreciate the financial support of the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation. Upon the completion of my degree in architecture, I too will give back to the Greek community so others will benefit from this opportunity for years to come. I look forward to seeing you at future Hellenic events. Back |
