HELLENIC BIRTHRIGHTThe PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation's Educational and Cultural Enrichment ProgramThe PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation is proud to offer our Hellenic Birthright program to Greek American youth. Hellenic Birthright is a unique educational and cultural experience for Greek American college students with limited financial means, ages 18-25 living in the United States who have never been to Greece. This five-week study-abroad program enables students to experience the history, culture and everyday life of Greece, while broadening their education through accredited college courses designed and taught by highly qualified faculty at the American College of Thessaloniki (ACT), the post-secondary division of Anatolia College. ACT has developed a rigorous academic program, the Pella Project, available to study abroad students from colleges and universities throughout the US. The Hellenic Birthright program allows participating students to join the Pella Project and gain transferable college credits. Most important, students are offered the opportunity to gain a broader understanding of their rich Hellenic heritage, both ancient and modern. Hellenic Birthright is an opportunity to gain a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Students explore the land of their ancestors through uniquely tailored educational and cultural activities blending academics, art, architecture, and history. Set against the beautiful backdrop of Thessaloniki and a number of other cities across mainland Greece and Turkey which have included Vergina, Pella, Athens, Thebes, Philippi, Delphi, Istanbul, Troy, and the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate Hellenic Birthright is an unforgettable study-abroad journey which participants will remember forever.
