HELLENIC BIRTHRIGHT

The PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation's Educational and Cultural Enrichment Program

The PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation is proud to offer our Hellenic Birthright program to Greek American youth. Hellenic Birthright was launched in 2012 with one goal in mind—to connect Greek American youth with their ancestral homeland. The PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation offers scholarship opportunities for eligible undergraduates to travel to Greece while also gaining transferable college credits.

Hellenic Birthright is a unique educational and cultural experience for Greek American college students living in the United States who have never been to Greece. This study-abroad program was created in collaboration with Anatolia College and their school of higher studies, the American College of Thessaloniki (ACT). ACT has developed a rigorous academic program taught by highly-qualified faculty available to undergraduates from across the US.

Participants explore the land of their ancestors through uniquely tailored educational and cultural activities blending academics, art, architecture, and history—all while gaining transferable college credits toward their Bachelors degree.

Hellenic Birthright is an opportunity to gain a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Students explore the land of their ancestors through uniquely tailored educational and cultural activities blending academics, art, architecture, and history. Set against the beautiful backdrop of Thessaloniki and a number of other cities across mainland Greece along with a visit to the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate, Hellenic Birthright is an unforgettable study-abroad journey which participants will remember forever.

The PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation underwrites all tuition, living, sightseeing and other related expenses for 20 students. Students are only responsible for their airfare, health insurance and incidental expenses. Applicants who don’t qualify may also join the program at their own expense.
